If you didn’t like that race, then you don’t like NASCAR! Daniel Suárez wins by the thinnest of margins in a three-wide photo finish. Truly an instant classic, and a win that Suárez will not soon forget.

Atlanta Motor Speedway just claimed the title for best track on the circuit after that race. It had everything. And the best part? You never knew who was going to win even after they crossed the line.

Thanks to cameras and high-tech imaging, we know that Daniel RAPIDO Suárez is the winner at Atlanta. Ryan Blaney and Kyle Busch come within inches of the win. Most importantly, the 99 team is back in the NASCAR Playoffs.

This might be the best finish in NASCAR history. It is definitely one of the best of all time.

Daniel Suárez won over Ryan Blaney by 0.003 seconds and over Kyle Busch by 0.007 seconds. This is the third-closest margin of victory in NASCAR history and will be remembered as one of the best finishes ever in the sport.

It wasn’t just the leaders going three-wide, it was the field behind them fighting over every spot and trying to gain any additional points they could. I’m not sure what else you could want to see at the end of a NASCAR race.

Other notes from the top-10, Austin Cindric had a great race, led laps, and finished P4. Bubba Wallace gets his second P5 in a row to start the year. Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Ross Chastain, Michael McDowell, Chris Buescher, and Ty Gibbs finished P6-P10.

Daniel Suárez smashes the piñata after win

Last season did not go the way Daniel Suárez wanted it to go. He just got a win over two champions of the Cup Series and did it in exciting fashion. You don’t get many “buzzer-beater” type moments in racing, but this was one of those moments.

Everyone said that Suárez was on the hot seat. He missed the playoffs and didn’t win a race in 2023. Shane van Gisbergen, Zane Smith, and Connor Zilisch are waiting in the wings at Trackhouse Racing.

This win in Atlanta puts all of that talk to rest.

“It was so damn close man, it was so damn close,” the driver said standing on the finish line. “It was good racing, Ryan Blaney there, Kyle Busch. Austin Cindric also was doing a good job giving pushes. In the back of the straightaway, he didn’t push me because he knew I was going to go by his teammate, but man what a job.

“We wrecked lap two, the guys did an amazing job fixing this car. Man, I can’t think everyone enough.”

Trackhouse Racing continues to make noise, they continue to be a fun and exciting team. Folks, my heart is still pounding after that race. Daniel Suárez gets his first Cup Series win on an oval, he overcame a wreck and survived the madness.

Just a great finish and one we will be talking about all season long, and likely for years to come.
