Derrick Henry has been one of the best running backs in the NFL but has only worn one uniform in his career thus far. Everyone expects a change, with Henry hitting the open market this offseason. After eight years with the Tennessee Titans, you can expect No. 22 to be elsewhere in 2024.

Odds have been released on Henry’s next team, with the Baltimore Ravens coming in as the favorite. You have to imagine multiple NFL teams will be interested in the running back as the production has not really slowed down.

Henry has rushed for over 1,000 yards in the past two seasons and stayed above the 4.0 yards per carry line. Based on the odds, going to a contender could be seen as a priority as Henry looks to add a Super Bowl to his resume.

Baltimore Ravens (+175)

Baltimore has been one of the league’s top rushing teams for years, leading the NFL in rush attempts and yards in 2023. However, Lamar Jackson has been the leading rusher for the past five seasons.

Henry would give the Ravens an every-down back to only bolster the attack. He has no problem with the workload either, having the most carries in four out of the last five seasons.

Dallas Cowboys (+550)

Dallas is going to be in the market for a running back this offseason. Whether Jerry Jones finds one through the NFL Draft or free agency is yet to be seen.

Tony Pollard played the 2023 season on the franchise tag but is a candidate to leave. Henry could be a star addition for the Cowboys as multiple people around the team claim to be “all-in” for 2024.

Philadelphia Eagles (+650)

Houston Texans (+750)

Expectations were more than exceeded in Year One of CJ Stroud, leading Houston to the playoffs by winning the AFC South. All with a running game that ranked No. 22 in yards last season.

The last time the Texans had somebody lead the team in rushing back-to-back seasons was 2018 with Lamar Miller. Signing Henry away from a division rival and watching him continue to excel would be a great feeling for the fans down in Houston.

Miami Dolphins (+1000)

Just what Mike McDaniel needs, another elite weapon inside his offense. Adding to Raheem Mostert and Devon Achane could be seen as a cheat code for the Dolphins.

Already a top rushing team in the NFL, Miami bringing Henry on would just add to the arsenal. A crowded running backs room, sure. But it would undoubtedly stack up against any in the league.

Los Angeles Chargers (+1000)

Jim Harbaugh made his intentions known during his introductory press conference. The Chargers are going to play a physical style of football on both sides.

Henry certainly qualifies as a physical runner Los Angeles could be looking for. Austin Ekeler is a free agent as well, something that could take top priority.

Tennessee Titans (+1000)

No need to photoshop Henry into a Titans uniform. While all signs point to him leaving Tennessee, returning to the franchise is not completely out of the equation.

Brian Callahan is taking over as the head coach, replacing Mike Vrabel. With Cincinnati the past five seasons, Callahan saw Joe Mixon break 1,000 yards on three different occasions as the offensive coordinator.

Minnesota Vikings (+1200)

Minnesota finished in the bottom five of rushing attempts, rushing yards, and rushing touchdowns. They really struggled in the first season without Dalvin Cook and need to find some kind of answer.

Henry could be viewed as the answer with a franchise hoping to get back on the right track. He’s certainly a big name fans would love right away.

Green Bay Packers (+1200)

Much like Houston, expectations were surpassed by Jordan Love in his first season as the starter. A strong finish coupled with a playoff win against Dallas has Green Bay feeling good about the future.

Could another option at running back emerge with Henry? Maybe so, even with AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones still on the roster heading into 2024.

Las Vegas Raiders (+2500)

Las Vegas has a decision to make at running back this offseason. Josh Jacobs is set to be a free agent and if the Raiders want to bring him back, a nice contract might be required.

Henry could come in and play for first-year head coach Antonio Pierce. The Raiders may not have to commit as much to the veteran as he steps into what seems to be a great culture.

Other landing spot odds for Derrick Henry

  • Kansas City Chiefs (+2500)
  • Cincinnati Bengals (+2500)
  • Chicago Bears (+2500)
  • Buffalo Bills (+2500)

NFL free agency will begin on March 13, officially opening at 4 p.m. ET. No official timeline has been set for Henry as he expects to be the marquee name of the cycle.
