Since Odell Beckham Jr. was waived by the Cleveland Browns, many teams have surfaced as potential landing spots. One of the most popular destinations named is Green Bay, where NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers and All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams have laid a Super Bowl contending foundation.

As the preferred destination, the Packers have gained more hype from the NFL community. Tuesday afternoon, former NFL star Dez Bryant weighed in on the potential Odell Beckham Jr. signing.

“A-Rod Devante Adam’s and OBJ… yea that’s going to be something serious!” Dez Bryant posted after hearing Odell Beckham Jr.’s preferred destination.

The Packers are currently 7-2, losing one of its two games without Rodgers, who tested positive for COVID-19. The star quarterback’s status for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks remains in question.

More on Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham Jr. reportedly has a preferred landing spot in the Green Bay Packers. However, it takes two to tango. While Beckham wants to play with the Packers, it ultimately comes down to Green Bay’s interest level in the star wide receiver.

According to NFL Analysis Network‘s Evan Massey, the Packers front office isn’t exactly rolling out the red carpet for Beckham.

“Per source, at this point in time, Odell Beckham Jr. still would prefer to sign with the Packers. However, Green Bay’s front office has not been as aggressive as others,” tweeted Massey. “They do have interest though. If they come through with competitive offer, Beckham will likely sign with GB.”

Evidently, the Packers have a leg-up in the sweepstakes. Still, teams like the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots are making pushes. Additionally, the Seahawks and Russell Wilson want Beckham in Seattle.

As Odell Beckham Jr. mulls over his options, the world awaits his decision. Whether it’s the Packers or another squad, it remains to be seen if Beckham can become a difference-maker once again.

  • Indianapolis Colts (+800)
  • San Francisco 49ers (+900)
