Nick De La Torre from Gators Online joins the show to discuss Florida's Season Outlook and Expectations for the 2023 Season

Former Florida star Teez Tabor has signed with the Indianapolis Colts, the organization announced on Monday.

The former second-round pick of the Detroit Lions is headed to Indianapolis after spending time with the Falcons and Seahawks organizations in 2022.

The Colts waived rookie running back Zavier Scott with an injury settlement to make room for Tabor, the organization announced. Scott, who was signed by Indianapolis in May as an undrafted free agent, appeared in 24 games, with 17 starts while attending Maine.

Teez Tabor played in 10 games for the Seahawks last season, making one start. He finished the year with eight tackles, including five solo stops. Prior to signing with Seattle, Tabor was on the Falcons’ practice squad for Week 1.

The 27-year-old Tabor has also played for the 49ers and Bears during his NFL career. In total, he has appeared in 38 career games in the NFL, while making seven starts. Tabor has recorded 50 tackles, with 40 of those being solo stops.

During his time at Florida, Tabor earned All-SEC honors twice, before turning pro after his junior season. He started all 12 games during his junior year, finishing with 33 tackles and four interceptions, including a pick-six. He also finished with six pass breakups, a sack and a fumble recovery. Tabor signed with the Gators as a five-star recruit in the class of 2014.

Amari Burney records first career NFL sack in preseason game

Elsewhere with former Florida defenders, former Gators linebacker Amari Burney is making some noise.

Burney was involved early and often in the first half of a game between his Las Vegas Raiders and the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

To start one San Francisco drive, Burney recorded his first career NFL sack, slipping through the middle and chasing 49ers quarterback Trey Lance down for the tackle.

Amari Burney made another tackle shortly after on the drive, his second of the game. His speed was readily apparent, perhaps his best quality in five years at the college level.

It was that athleticism that likely led the Raiders to draft him in the sixth round in the 2023 NFL Draft, taking him with the No. 203 overall pick in the draft.

Prior to that, Burney spent five years at Florida plying his trade. He was a regular starter for the better part of the last three.

Amari Burney appeared in 58 games during his career, starting 22 of them. He logged 223 total tackles in his career, as well as 15.0 tackles for a loss, 7.0 sacks, four interceptions, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 16 passes defended.
