Former Tennessee Titans linebacker Rashaan Evans has agreed to a deal with the Atlanta Falcons. With Evans heading to Atlanta, he will reunite with former Titans coordinator turned Falcons head coach Arthur Smith and another former Titans coordinator Dean Pees. Pees was Tennessee’s defensive coordinator from 2018 to 2019 and worked directly with the former Alabama Crimson Tide linebacker.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Evans and the Falcons have agreed on a one-year deal, per the linebackers agent. the specifics of the finances have yet to be revealed. But this move is likely to help Evans recharge his career.

Evans was a first-round pick by the Titans made back in the 2018 NFL Draft. The linebacker from Auburn, AL, was a member of the stacked 2017 national championship-winning Alabama Crimson Tide team. He was also a member of the 2015 national championship squad but had the most impact during the latter title.

The elite skill set he showed at the college level has yet to fully transition to the NFL. over his four years spent with the Titans, Evans has recorded 317 combined tackles, 196 solos, 15 tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, and a forced fumble.

Malik Willis set to visit Panthers, Falcons as NFL Draft nears

Malik Willis appears to be the clear favorite for quarterback-needy teams with the NFL Draft inching closer.

Matt Miller is one of the top NFL draft evaluators while he didn’t come out and say he believes Malik Willis deserves to be selected in the Top-10 selections of the first round in the draft next April, Adam Schefter’s latest report clearly mentions the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons — two teams in desperate need of a franchise QB — with coaches who need to find a way to win sooner rather than later.
