Former Auburn and NFL offensive lineman Greg Robinson was arrested Monday for drug possession, per TMZ Sports. Robinson was pulled over for a routine traffic stop in his hometown of Thibodaux, Louisiana, when police discovered more than $120,000 worth of illegal drugs.

A K-9 unit smelled an odor of drugs coming from Robinson’s car, leading officers to discover what they believe to be cocaine and crack cocaine. They then searched Robinson’s properties in the area, where they say they found crystal meth oxycodone, hydrocodone, xanax and marijuana in addition to more cocaine. They also found firearm magazines and ammunition.

Greg Robinson was arrested and booked on a litany of charges, including felony possession with intent to distribute cocaine and felony possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. Jail records show that as of Tuesday, he was still behind bars.

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft, Robinson hasn’t played in the NFL since 2019. This isn’t the first time Greg Robinson was arrested on drug charges, as he was also caught with 157 pounds of marijuana in February of 2020. In that case he was caught with former Auburn receiver Quan Bray by the border patrol near El Paso County, Texas. According to reports, the pair were not reentering the country from Mexico, despite their close proximity to the border. Robinson received five years of probation for that offense.

The offensive lineman struggled to break through in the league, playing for three different teams in his six seasons. His legal issues have made his return to the league even more unlikely, which is disappointing for someone who was originally considered to be full of potential. Robinson is still the highest drafted offensive lineman in the history of Auburn. He started 15 games in his final NFL season with the Cleveland Browns.

A court date has yet to be set for the former Tigers offensive lineman.
