Jordan Poole needed just three-tenths of a second to catch, shoot and bank in a deep 3-point shot to give the Golden State Warriors the lead heading into the fourth quarter against the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

Poole is transitioning from a role player to a major contributor for the Golden State Warriors before our very eyes, and he’s proving so thus far this series against the Celtics. Coming into the Game 5, Poole has averaged 12.5 points on a 36 percent clip from beyond the arc.

This season, Poole’s averaging a career high 18.5 points per game in his third season in the NBA. Coming out of Michigan, Poole had a similar buzzer-beater against Houston in the 2018 NCAA Tournament’s Second Round.

Even with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson on your team, Poole has a track record of making difficult shots as the clock expires – even on the biggest stages.

Jordan Poole hits crazy buzzer beat after explosive third quarter in NBA Finals Game 2

The Golden State Warriors blew open Game 2 of the NBA Finals with a 35-14 third quarter. That included a massive burst to end the quarter led by Steph Curry and Jordan Poole.

After nailing a deep jumper the possession before, Poole welcomed everyone to the ‘Pool Party’ with this splash from half court to beat the buzzer.

When the Warriors get rolling, it becomes an avalanche. Six seconds was more than enough time for Poole to get in range, make a move and extend the Warriors lead to 23 heading to the fourth.

With that make, Poole now has nine points off the bench on 3-4 shooting from deep. His third quarter flurry came as Golden State went on to win Game 2 and tie the NBA Finals at 1-1 at the time.
