The Green Bay Packers made multiple roster moves ahead of their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week. One of Aaron Rodgers’ top targets is now heading to the injured reserve, too.

Green Bay placed Sammy Watkins on the IR with a hamstring injury on Saturday, more than 24 hours ahead of its matchup against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers on Sunday. As a result, Juwann Winfree is moving up from the practice squad.

Running back Patrick Taylor is also joining the big club from the practice squad, the team announced.

Watkins started this week limited in practice, but missed Thursday and Friday before Green Bay ruled him out for Sunday’s game. He currently leads the Packers in receiving yards with 111 receiving yards, but doesn’t have a receiving touchdown yet.

Now, it’ll be next man up for the Packers against the Buccaneers Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.

Packers final injury report vs Tampa Bay

Out — WR Sammy Watkins (hamstring)

Watkins started the week limited before missing back-to-back practices and, therefore, missing Sundays’ game with his hamstring injury. He had three receptions for 93 yards last week against the Chicago Bears and leads the Packers in receiving yards through two games.

Questionable — OL David Bakhtiari (knee), WR Randall Cobb (illness), TE Marcedes Lewis (groin), WR Christian Watson (hamstring)

Bakhtiari, still recovering from a knee injury, was a limited participant on Friday for the second straight day and will be questionable for the matchup with Tampa Bay. If he’s able to play, it’ll be just his second game since tearing his ACL at the end of the 2020 season.

Cobb didn’t practice all week as he dealt with an illness and also remains questionable. He also had a solid showing against Chicago, hauling in three receptions for 37 yards. Watson — the rookie out of North Dakota State — will also be questionable after totaling just nine receiving yards last week.

Lewis has yet to register a stat this year and was limited Friday after missing Thursday’s practice. If he can go, that’d be another boost for the Green Bay offense that’s dealing with plenty of other injuries.
