Ahead of the Green Bay Packers matchup with the Washington Commanders, much of the attention centers around the right thumb of star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. It’s his second-straight week showing up on the injury report with the thumb ailing him.

He played last week after not practicing that Wednesday and then fully participating to end the week leading in to the game. It appears he could be on a similar trajectory this week.

Rodgers did not practice this Wednesday but was listed as a full participant on Thursday. If he can practice again in full on Friday, there’s no reason to think he won’t be out there starting on Sunday. He has maintained it’s not a big issue and he’ll play on Sunday.

Along with Rodgers, a bevy of offensive players are on the report for the Packers ahead of the cross-divisional NFC matchup.

On the offensive line, David Bakhtiari, Jake Hanson and Elgton Jenkins are all listed. Jenkins and Bakhtiari were limited participants and Hanson did not practice on Thursday.

And two receivers — Randall Cobb and Christian Watson — have missed the Wednesday and Thursday practices this week for Green Bay. Watson has a hamstring issue and Cobb hurt his ankle before riding to the locker room on a cart from the sideline in the Packers loss to the New York Jets last Sunday.

Tight end Marcedes Lewis missed Thursday’s practice for a veteran rest day.

The only defensive injury listed for the Packers is outside linebacker Rashan Gary with a toe ailment. He’s practice fully so far this week.
