The Green Bay Packers have selected Georgia State offensive tackle Travis Glover in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He was a five-year starter with the Panthers and will hope that experience pays off as he prepares to enter the pros.

Glover earned first team All-Sun Belt honors this past season as he helped pave the way for Marcus Carroll to lead the conference in rushing with 1,350 yards and 13 touchdowns. He started 57 of 59 games across his college career.

The 6-foot-6 tackle is set to sign a four-year contract worth roughly $4.1 million, according to Spotrac. He will earn an average of $1.048 million per season and has a signing bonus of $173,961.

Glover immediately made an impact upon arriving at Georgia State in the 2019 season. He helped the Panthers set multiple records offensively that season, including total yards gained (5,818). The Football Writers Association of America named him a Freshman All-American as a result.

Glover mostly played at left tackle during his time at Georgia State but has also started a few games at left guard. He leaves with the second-most starts in program history and participated in the Senior Bowl this past season.

As a recruit, Glover was a three-star prospect coming out of Dooly County High School in Vienna, Georgia. He ranked as the No. 1,895 overall player and No. 170 offensive tackle in the 2018 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Now Travis Glover will aim to continue his success in the NFL as he begins his career with the Packers.

Trente Jones signs with Packers as undrafted free agent

The professional football dream for former Michigan offensive lineman Trente Jones has finally come true. The former Wolverine has signed as an undrafted free agent with the Green Bay Packers, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Now, he’ll be looking to prove worthy of his status, as he moves to the next level in his football journey.

Jones played high school football at Grayson (GA), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 110 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

After a fulfilling career with the Wolverines, Trente Jones is moving on from Michigan to the NFL. We’ll see how he does, but he’ll certainly have a ton of support behind him as he makes the move to the next level.
