Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter drew inspiration from LeBron James during Philadelphia’s Sunday Night Football game against the Dolphins. A scuffle with Miami’s Austin Jackson resulted in an NBA-level flop.

Carter and Jackson got caught up in some extra-curricular activity at the end of a play Sunday night. Trying to draw a flag, Carter put his acting skills to the test, catching an official’s attention. There were offsetting penalties on the play.

After the game, Carter explained his mindset when he was attempting to draw a flag.

“I was just thinking about LeBron,” Carter said, per Josh Tolentino of the Philadelphia Inquirer. “I was like, ‘Oh, what would LeBron do?'”

Hey, it worked out for the defensive tackle. Now maybe he understands why James has a flair for the dramatic while on the floor. If it works, why not?

If you missed Carter’s award-winning flop performance, below is the clip. And yes, he sold it pretty well. James would undoubtedly be proud.

Who says athletes can’t draw inspiration from other athletes?

The Eagles defeated the Dolphins 31-17 to improve to 6-1 on the season. Miami now owns a 5-2 record this fall.

Tagovailoa, Hurts share moment after Dolphins-Eagles game

There’s still a lot of respect between Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts. The two former Alabama quarterbacks shared a nice moment following the Sunday Night Football matchup between the Dolphins and Eagles in Philadelphia.

This weekend marked the first time the two quarterbacks went head-to-head in the NFL. Hurts got the better end of the deal, with the Eagles getting a big home win.

Following the game, Tagovailoa and Hurts met at midfield to share some words with each other. It had to be a cool moment for the former teammates on such a big stage.

Tagovailoa and Hurts were both members of Alabama’s 2017-18 national championship squad. Hurts played for the Crimson Tide from 2016-18 before transferring to Oklahoma for his final season.

Tagovailoa was in Tuscaloosa from 2017-19.

Hurts ended Sunday’s game completing 23-of-31 passes for 279 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in the win. He also rushed for 21 yards and a score on 11 carries.

Tagovailoa threw for 216 yards with a touchdown and pick while completing 23-of-32 throws. He was sacked three times for 10 yards in the loss.

These moments are always really cool to see on the field.
