Thanks to his injury, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has needed to hand the reins of the offense over to backup Jake Browning. Along with that, Burrow has decided to give Browning another gift.

For the game against the Colts, Burrow lent his suite to Browning’s family. That way, they could watch him make an NFL start in some of the best seats in the house. Among those who showed up were his girlfriend, Stephanie Niles, his siblings, and some friends.

After the game, Browning explained how Burrow helped his family, who wasn’t prepared for the cold Ohio weather, enjoy the game.

“Well, first of all, it is not my box,” Browning said. “I did not buy that in the preseason — it’s very expensive. So, Joe Burrow was nice enough to give them some tickets so they didn’t have to sit up in the cold. We’re all from California, so I’m used to it, they’re not. I’m sure they were much more excited in the box.”

The Bengals dominated the Colts, winning the game 34-14. With that, Cincinnati moved to 7-6 on the season. With that, the Bengals also moved into a tie for third place in the AFC North and became one of six AFC teams with a 7-6 record at this point in the season.

Browning completed 18 of 24 passes for 275 yards and two scores. It was his second straight win as Cincinnati’s starter and having his family there to see it made things that much sweeter for him.

“It’s awesome to have them here,” Browning added. “It’s always nice to have people there, and it’s mostly nice after you win to go grab dinner or something somewhere.”

Next up for the Bengals will be a game against the Vikings, another key game in the race for the playoffs.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow describes season-ending wrist injury

After suffering his season-ending wrist injury, Joe Burrow broke down what happened. In particular, he emphasized that the injury wasn’t something that occurred before the game he left with the injury.

“This is a completely different thing. It’s not uncommon for guys to wear compression sleeves on a plane because when you go up to that altitude things can swell up,” Burrow said. “This is a completely new injury.”

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor took a guess that it occurred initially against the Baltimore Ravens when Jadeveon Clowney knocked him to the ground. However, it was hard to be certain of the exact time the injury happened.
