Joey Logano poked fun at himself while talking about the fight between Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch. While appearing on Dale Jr. Download, Logano, who won the NASCAR All-Star Race on Sunday, was asked by Dale Earnhardt Jr. if he watched the fight between Stenhouse and Busch that happened after the race.

“You can’t open up your phone and not see it,” Logano said. “I’m still not sure who won the race.”

Logano knows he’s not the focus of the All-Star Race since all the talk has been about Stenhouse and Busch. After cracking the joke, Logano was then asked if Stenhouse and Busch would be able to move on and not have animosity when they are back on the track this Sunday.

“It’s not gonna be the case, he said. “Drivers hold grudges, man. Our sport is such an eye for an eye type of situation. It’s self-policing for those reasons. I hate being in those altercations, it sucks. It happens. It’s part of the nature of our sport. If you’re gonna be an aggressive racer, you’re gonna be in those scenarios and you’re emotions will sometimes get the best of you.”

Joey Logano has more thoughts on the Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Kyle Busch fight

Logano continued: “In that moment, it’s all fine. The part that sucks the most is it just stays with you forever. The next 10 times we go to North Wilkesboro, they are showing the highlights of that, not the guy that won the race, not anything else, the fight. That’s what they are going to talk about. When they go to the race track this weekend in Charlotte, they have to go to the media center before practice starts, or after practice either way.

“What do you think the questions are going to be like? Where do you think all the reporters are going to be? They’re going to be over there talking to those two drivers. You can’t get away from it.” Logano also said the fight was good for NASCAR because of the exposure the sport received over the last few days.

The joke Logano made about himself, is similar to what Denny Hamlin said about Logano on his Actions Detrimental podcast. “I hate to say this — nobody gives a f*** about Joey Logano winning the All-Star Race,” Hamlin said. “That’s a fact. And I hate that our media was like, ‘Oh my gosh, they’re only showing the fight.’ Well, yeah. We gotta understand who we are. With all due respect to the 22, nobody gives a s***.”
