Jordan Love is ready to take over for the legendary Aaron Rodgers as the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. There’s a lot of pressure that comes with that role. Despite that, Love says the sky is the limit for the team’s offense.

As Love explained, the Packers are loaded with weapons offensively.

“I think we’ve got playmakers on offense,” Jordan Love said. “I think the weapons we have a receiver and both tight end and running back as well. You know, we’ve got guys who can make plays. They’re catching the ball really well right now, and I think once everybody just gets rolling, gets comfortable with the offense, and being where they need to be every play, the sky’s the limit for us.”

Head coach Matt LaFleur agrees that the offense is in good shape, pointing out just how many strides Jordan Love has made during this offseason.

“He was pretty good and his ball wasn’t always the tightest but he did a great job,” LaFleur said. “It’s about just being accurate. Throwing on time. Making the right decisions. Putting the ball in the right spot. And so, I’ve been encouraged — especially, I would say over the course of this last week, one of the things that we’ve kind of talked about in that room is just how important — it’s really the process of playing quarterback.”

On top of that, wide receiver Romeo Doubs doesn’t expect much of a drop off at the quarterback position. He explained that he doesn’t really see a difference between Rodgers and Love.

“I think Jordan is a really good quarterback,” Doubs said. “When you go from Aaron Rodgers to Jordan, Aaron was a really great quarterback, but I believe Jordan can do the same exact thing. So I don’t really see what’s the big difference.”

Jordan Love says this offseason has been no different

There was a lot of drama in Green Bay this offseason. Aaron Rodgers took his time deciding what his own future would have in store before being traded to the New York Jets. That meant that it was time for Jordan to take over at quarterback.

“I don’t think it looks different at all,” Love said. “Same thing. Training, just getting back to it, getting in the book. Pretty much, like I said, continuing the progression I’ve made so far and keep it going.”
