Somebody might want to send a welfare check to check on Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe. It turns out, he picked the wrong man to get into a war of words with. Former No. 1 overall pick Kwame Brown has reached rather legendary fame on the internet the past few years for some of his beautifully poetic and uncensored rants on a number of people.

Simply put, when Brown blesses you with his tongue, you’re going to feel the wrath of a thousand suns. Brown recently ripped LeBron James and that caught the attention of LeBron James fanboy No. 1, Shannon Sharpe. That’s when Sharpe decided to up the ante and hit Brown where he knew it’d hurt the most, saying, “He’s on the Mount Rushmore of Bust NBA Players. There is no question.” Naturally, Kwame Brown was going to come back with some serious heat and boy did he ever. Brown absolutely eviscerated Sharpe in one of the most hilarious rants of the year.

Pull up a seat. It doesn’t get much better than this.

Brown would later post another video on his YouTube channel, Kwame Brown Bust Life, where he doubled down on his evisceration of Sharpe. He also made sure Sharpe knew that he had to go to work for someone else every day.

Brown, on the other hand, has no boss. Which is precisely why he can rant and say whatever he wants about whoever he wants. He made sure to drive that point home on Thursday evening in his YouTube video.

He currently has 391,000 subscribers. So, while he doesn’t have a massive audience, those are still pretty substantial numbers. Especially since Brown’s rants are uncensored and unscripted. It’s tough to tell how the YouTube algorithm promotes his content, but the endless amount of curse words likely doesn’t help the channel get promoted. Probably the opposite.

But once again, he’s not exactly counting on the Adsense to pay his bills. He doesn’t need the money. Which is exactly how he can go scorched Earth on somebody like Shannon Sharpe. Scorched Earth is a popular term used on the internet these days. There’s regular scorched Earth and then the Kwame Brown version, which is essentially a verbal nuke.

The man has been on an iconic verbal warpath lately. First, it was Ja Morant. Then, it was Shannon Sharpe. When you step into the verbal ring with Kwame Brown, you better be ready for some serious smoke. He continues to cement his status as the uncensored sports talk radio host the world needs. There’s never been anyone quite like him. And for that, he should be celebrated and appreciated.
