The Lady in Black gives no mercy. Kyle Busch is likely out of the Truck Series race at Darlington on Lap 12 after waiting hours for the race to start.

A rain delay and two laps later and it was a disaster for Rowdy in his first NASCAR race of the weekend. Then things only got worse.

This is the first time Kyle Busch has raced a truck at Darlington. There were a number of years when the series didn’t come to the track. Busch came up next to Corey Heim to fight for the lead and soon found himself getting loose.

After he lost control of that truck just a bit, the bump coming out of Turn 2 gave him the shove he needed to go around. Screeching tires, into the inside wall, and likely a DNF before this race really even got going.

Busch tried to make it back onto the track after repairs. He triggered another caution on Lap 12 after a brief time on the track before going into the wall.

Here is what happened on the second incident of the race. Lap 12, the truck just broke on him and he went into the wall. He almost wrecked the leaders out of the race as well.

Nick Sanchez won the pole for the Buckle Up South Carolina 200. However, his team had to make an adjustment on the truck and he started in the rear. So, Corey Heim took off to the front and did not relenquish his lead.

Darlington is a tough and tricky track. Even for a champion like Kyle Busch it can be a challenge.

Kyle Busch out early at Darlington

Hopefully, for Busch, his bad luck doesn’t carry over to the Cup Series on Sunday. It is unforutante that after those hours of waiting, the night is over so soon for the No. 7 team. The incident is not very characteristic of Busch.

This is the first time Busch has finished dead last in a Truck Series race. After he got out of the care center, Rowdy spoke with Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports about what happened.

“I guess, yeah, I don’t know. I don’t know, I don’t know how close he [Heim] was, I don’t know if he was on my door, I don’t know if I lost air. It just instantly stepped out.”

As for the second caution? Kyle Busch didn’t even want to be on the track at that point. His crew chife likely made the call to go back out.

“The truck was wrecked, there was no reason why I should have been back out on the race track.”

Just a frustrating end to the night for Kyle Busch in Darlington.
