Things just got intense between Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson! Shades of Knasas on the track at Pocono Raceway. Racing hard for the lead in the NASCAR Cup Series, Hamlin put Larson into the wall by giving him a little pinch on the turn.

Kyle Larson is not going to be happy with Denny Hamlin after this race. When push came to shove, it was Hamlin that did the pushing and shoving and he got the track position.

After this little incident, Larson got into Hamlin’s door under caution. NASCAR isn’t going to like that. Here is what happened with Hamlin and Larson as the race came down to the final laps.

And here is when Kyle Larson put his door into Denny Hamlin under caution.

It didn’t help that there was a late caution flag once Ryan Preece spun out on the backstretch. NASCAR held out hope that they would see Preece take off again, it didn’t happen and the caution came out after the white flag. Hamlin was out front, and he took the win.

Kyle Larson went on to finish P20 after the incident. His car just didn’t have the speed it needed. So, when the race restarted, he fell back into the field and just couldn’t hold his position. All Hamlin had to do was drive away from his teammate Martin Truex Jr.

While they are friends, this is going to make their pickleball games a little awkward.

Kyle Larson ‘pissed’ after Denny Hamlin move at Pocono

After the Kansas race, Kyle Larson was not upset. He was disappointed that he didn’t win. However, Larson expressed it was just a racing move and the two of them were going at it hard on the track. After Pocono… not so much.

“It is what it is,” he said. “Yeah, we’re friends. Yes, this makes things sh*tty and awkward, but whatever. He’s always right. All the buddies know Denny’s always right. So I’m sure he was right there as well. It is what it is. I’m not gonna let it tarnish a friendship, but I am pissed and I feel like I should be pissed.”

Meanwhile, Denny Hamlin isn’t apologizing for anything. In his mind, he gave Larson enough room to make a decision and decided to drive into the wall. I’m not so sure about that argument at all, but that’s what he says.

Kyle Larson feels that he is short two wins and more than a handful of points in the standings now due to Hamlin’s actions. I’m not sure he will give Hamlin the benefit of the doubt the next time they are side-by-side racing for the lead.
