Trent Williams has arguably been the best offensive tackle in the league throughout the season. On Saturday against the Green Bay Packers, his skills were on full display. Throughout the 49ers victory, Williams was flying around the field, flattening defenders.

Unfortunately, Williams was seen limping after the game. Immediately, San Francisco faithful wondered if the star tackle would be available for the NFC Championship Game. However, there hasn’t been much released regarding the former Oklahoma star’s condition.

“49ers left tackle Trent Williams battled through an ankle injury on Saturday night, but went for further medical evaluation after the 13-10 win,” wrote Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk. “Reporters in Green Bay noted that Williams was on crutches after the game and headed for the X-ray room to have tests done on his injury.

“There’s unlikely to be a definitive update on his condition before the team returns home, but Williams’ condition will surely draw attention leading into the NFC Championship Game.”

In a hard-fought victory, Williams was one of the difference makers for the 49ers. If he’s unable to play in the NFC Championship Game, San Francisco will be missing one of their best players. Whether it’s against the Los Angeles Rams or Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the 49ers will be hoping Trent Williams suits up.

More on Trent Williams, San Francisco 49ers

While the injury to Trent Williams was one of the biggest storylines coming out of the game, so was an injury to star wide receiver Deebo Samuel. With the game on the line, Samuel carried the football past the first down marker for the 49ers. However – while Samuel found the first down – he came off the field limping immediately.

49ers faithful held their breath, hoping their best offensive weapon wasn’t done for the season. As San Francisco’s season continues, the good news is it looks like Samuel’s will as well.

“My ankle got twisted up and I got scared there for a minute, but I’ll be all right,” Samuel told NFL Network after the game.

Luckily, the former South Carolina star will be fine for the 49ers. Even coach Kyle Shanahan mentioned he wasn’t worried. Samuel was seen jumping and celebrating as Gould kicked San Francisco beyond Green Bay.

Deebo Samuel has been the MVP of the miracle run by the 49ers. Thankfully, he’ll be able to continue playing his part as San Francisco advances to the NFC Championship Game.
