Count LeBron James as one of the believers in the Parris Campbell resurgence in New York City.

The former Ohio State Buckeyes and Indianapolis Colts wide receiver took his talents to the Giants in free agency, looking for a fresh start in a potent offense. Evidently, James believes it’s going to pay off for Campbell.

A noted Ohio State football fan, James took to his Instagram to share a photo of the Giants wide receiver to his story, offering some words of encouragement to the exciting pass catcher.

“Yessir nephew!!! Big year coming!” tweeted the NBA’s all-time scoring leader. “Let’s get it! Vibes.”

That’s a ringing endorsement from James. It’s not every day you get shouted out by arguably the greatest basketball player of all time. That’s going to be worth more than gold in the Giants locker room.

Alas, it’s easy to see why James believes a big year is coming for Campbell. While he flashed at times in Indianapolis, he dealt with uneven quarterback play and changes to the team’s coaching staff while he was on their roster. It severely hampered his development, but the tools are still in the box.

Speaking with the media earlier this year, Campbell waxed poetic about the Giants, believing the culture and family atmosphere to be something he really appreciates.

It’s been great. I’ve enjoyed my time here thus far,” Campbell said after the Giants wrapped up their two-day mandatory minicamp, via Patricia Traina of Giants Country. “The culture was the first thing that stood out to me. It’s really a family atmosphere.

“From the guys in the locker room to the coaching staff to the front office, just everyone, you can kind of feel that family nature. I’ve just been trying to buy in since day one. But I’ve enjoyed myself. They’ve welcomed me like one of their own.”

The Giants wide receiving corps caught a lot of flack last season, but Campbell believes New York will surprise some people in 2023, especially with their speed.

Yeah, this is probably the fastest total complete group that I’ve played with in my career,” added the former Ohio State wide receiver. “I mean, we’ve got speed all across the board.

“It’s speed that can do a lot of different things. It’s not just guys running in a straight line fast; it’s ball in the hands fast, in their routes fast. We complement each other. I’m excited for what’s to come.”

One person who won’t be surprised by Parris Campbell’s success is LeBron James. The Giants’ wide receiver has one of the best of the best in his corner, and it’s going to be fun to see the wide receiver try to prove him right.
