After missing a game with an injury, star wide receiver Tyreek Hill is reportedly active for the Miami Dolphins’ game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Hill missed the Dolphins’ win over the New York Jets with an ankle injury that he suffered against the Tennessee Titans. His absence played a large role in Miami struggling at the end of the loss to Tennessee.

An ankle injury can be a difficult one for any player to recover from quickly. However, wide receivers can have particular issues with them. It’s a position that requires agility and the ability to jump and make quick cuts. Because of that, there are still questions about how impactful Hill will be.

On top of that, there are also questions about how healthy Tyreek Hill is for this game. It’s a big game, though, and after being considered a game-time decision, he’s at least healthy enough to go.

Miami is currently first in the AFC East and trying to hold off the Buffalo Bills as they make a run for the division. Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys are tied for first in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams would like to do what they can to lock up their divisions and potentially earn a bye week or homefield advantage.

Even if Hill is not completely healthy, he is still one of the best offensive players in the NFL and will earn respect from Dallas’ excellent defense. That should open up opportunities for other players on Miami’s offense with the focus on Hill.

Miami and Dallas will kick off at 4:25 pm EST on Christmas Eve.

Cowboys announce inactives for Week 16 vs. Miami Dolphins

Shortly ahead of Dallas’ key game against Miami, the Cowboys announced their list of inactive players for the game. It included an interesting list of names for Dallas.

The entire list of inactives can be viewed below:

#15 Trey Lance (emergency third QB)
#19 Noah Igbinoghene (CB)
#37 Eric Scott (CB)
#42 Deuce Vaughn (RB)
#77 Tyron Smith (T)
#83 Jalen Brooks (WR)
#95 Johnathan Hankins (DT)

There are several very impactful players on that list. Perhaps the most notable of those players is tackle Tyron Smith. He has been a key figure on Dallas’ offensive line since 2011 when he was drafted in the first round. However, a back injury is keeping him out of this game.

Another big name is Trey Lance, listed as Dallas’ emergency third quarterback. A former first-round pick, to this point in his career Lance has struggled to get on the field.
