We might have a Super Bowl matchup in our hands but the folks in Dallas are still wondering what happened in the Wild Card Round. The Cowboys were in prime position to make a run, only to produce the second one-and-done performance in three postseasons. Previously at the hands of San Francisco, the Green Bay Packers were the victors this go-round.

Micah Parsons has not talked much since the playoff loss but broke his silence on Wednesday. He was straightforward with his thoughts on the game, calling it “completely embarrassing.” Nobody ever wants to lose in the playoffs but with how Dallas went out, it can sit with you for quite a while.

“It’s sad that you lose the way that you do,” Parsons said. “Especially at home. We talked about how much we played at home… To go out like that at home was completely embarrassing and unacceptable. I couldn’t even look at that loss or feel any type of way because of how embarrassed I felt. Honestly, it took me a while to even show my face in public.”

Dallas went undefeated at AT&T Stadium this past season, blowing opponents out at times. Everyone in the organization felt like winning the division and earning the No. 2 seed gave the Cowboys a chance to finally make the NFC Championship game.

Instead, Green Bay came out firing, while Dallas looked flat from the get-go. A tough loss from top to bottom, with Parsons giving his honest opinions on Wednesday.

Micah Parsons joins Jerry Jones with “all-in” mentality for 2024

The Cowboys have to quickly move onto next season, where there are some challenges ahead. Dallas will have a completely different roster and at the time of posting, defnesive coordinator Dan Quinn is still a candidate to become Washington’s next head coach.

No matter who is in the building, Parsons wants Dallas to go “all-in” and attempt to finally breakthrough.

“I hope that we go out and get the players we’re missing because we didn’t do that this year,” Parsons said. “I hope that we challenge ourselves, become better, and become greater.”

Parsons is not the only one inside the Cowboys wanting to have the “all-in” mentality. Owner Jerry Jones has the same mentality moving forward, believing the 2024 season is the one where Dallas has to go out there and try to win a Super Bowl.

“I would anticipate, with looking ahead with our key contracts that we’d like to address, we’ll be all-in,” Jones said. “I would anticipate we’ll be all-in at the end of this year… We’ll be going all-in on different people than the past. We’ve seen some things from the players that we’ll be all-in on. And yes, I would say that you will see us, this coming year, not building for the future.”
