This shouldn’t come as a big surprise. NBA legend Michael Jordan isn’t keen that one of his sons is dating Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife, Larsa.

It’s like a tabloid dream come to life. Marcus Jordan, the second-oldest child of basketball icon Michael, became social media official with Larsa Pippen, Scottie’s wife for two decades, earlier this year. Michael and Scottie, one-time teammates, don’t agree on much these days, so there’s that detail. Then there’s the reality TV side to the couple. Larsa Pippen is a star on Real Housewives of Miami. And she’s close friends with Kim Kardashian, the ultimate reality star. The paparazzi always are buzzing around.

A photographer found Michael Jordan and wife, Yvetter Prieto, Sunday night leaving Matignon, a restaurant in Paris. So, did Jordan approve of the relationship?

First he laughed. It was an are-you-seriously-asking-me-that-question kind of laugh. Then Jordan gave an emphatic no and a shake-your-head no. See for yourself. TV Deets, which reports on reality TV news, shared the video on social media.

Maybe this will all come as bizarro news to Marcus and Larsa. Scottie’s ex has said, publicly, that Michael and his former wife, Juanita Vanoy, were cool with their relationship.

“I don’t really want to talk about them,” Larsa said during an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show. “I feel like it’s not about my parents or his parents. They’re all happy. Our whole family is fine.

“I feel like it’s more about where I am, where [Marcus] is. I feel like we’re in a great place. We motivate each other. We’re really happy being together. And I feel like that’s the most important thing.”

She also added that everything was fine with Michael and Juanita. “Yeah, I feel like we’re great.

So what do these two have in common? They co-host the podcast Separation Anxiety. They met four years ago at a party. A mutual friend introduced them. And they each had a conversation starter handy since both are tied to that Chicago Bull dynasty. Michael and Scottie — these two were so big neither needed a last name — won four NBA titles together.

Larsa filed for divorce in November, 2018. They’d already separated once before, but reconciled.

Meanwhile, you could see cracks in the relationship between Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen two years ago. They began to show after the release of The Last Dance, the wildly popular docuseries on ESPN.

“They glorified Michael Jordan while not giving nearly enough praise to me and my proud teammates,” Pippen wrote in his November 2021 Unguarded memoir about The Last Dance. “Michael deserved a large portion of the blame. The producers had granted him editorial control of the final product. The doc couldn’t have been released otherwise. He was the leading man and the director.”
