Najee Harris spent a lot of time with Nick Saban, but former Florida and Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder had a story that blew the former Alabama running back’s mind.

While Crowder is now one of the hosts of The Pivot Podcast, he one of the few NFL players that can say Saban was his coach at the professional level. As Harris joined his crew for an appearance on the podcast, Crowder shared a tale that involved Saban, a rookie show and a stripper in a Jason Taylor jersey.

“You said a stripper?” a shocked Harris responded. “How’d that go?”

Then, Crowder dropped the bomb on Harris — the former Alabama running back hanging on every word.

“It went,” joked Crowder. “Everybody start dancing. Making fun of vets. You know how the rookie show goes. I said I’m going to go last. Put a chair on stage and I said Coach Saban, I appreciate you drafting me and changing my life, could you come here for a second and sit down? He sat down, I went to the back door. I brought in Tip Drill — not the Tip Drill off the video, another Tip Drill in Miami. She walked in with a Jason Taylor jersey and a thong on, and walked up on Saban and went to shaking a little bit.

“Once she got close enough, he grabbed her little hips like this and put to the side, and ran out of the team room. So I had my interaction with Saban, but like I — does Saban get a bad rep?”

Obviously, Saban wanted no part of Crowder’s rookie show, and Harris couldn’t believe the former Dolphins linebacker had the gall to try it.

“So you had a girl shaking ass on Coach Saban?” A dumbfounded Harris asked, before shaking Crowder’s hand out of sheer respect.

“I think I set an NFL standard for best rookie show appearance,” responded Crowder.

Saban running from the stripper makes for a hilarious story, and one that Harris simply couldn’t believe. Crowder’s show is far from the reason that the Alabama legend took his talents back to the college game, but who knows, it could’ve played a part.

Nevertheless, it’s a hilarious story that Channing Crowder and Najee Harris will treasure. On the other hand, Nick Saban may have blocked it out from his memories when thinking about his time as a head football coach.
