Kaden Honeycutt and his crew chief Phil Gould have been ordered to the NASCAR hauler following tonight’s Martinsville Truck Series race. Honeycutt was involved in multiple incidents, neither of them good.

Driving in the No. 45 truck for Niece Motorsports, Honeycutt caused two cautions in the Truck Series race. He ran into the rear of Nick Sanchez and wrecked himself, causing a caution. Then, late in the race, he caused a multi-truck incident that NASCAR did not like at all.

Sounds like Kaden Honeycutt will have to answer for a few things after tonight. Although, he wasn’t the only one causing problems tonight.

Kaden Honeycutt has been aggressive tonight. NASCAR probably felt that he was too aggressive. This was a little reminiscent of Carson Hocevar’s issues at Martinsville just a year ago. Happens to be with the same team, too.

Honeycutt is going to have to talk to NASCAR and be better next time he gets on the track. Truck Series races can devolve into wreck fests if they aren’t careful. This one is already getting messy and there is more to go.

Kaden Honeycutt draws the ire of NASCAR

This was bound to happen tonight. With the amount of cautions, NASCAR was going to get involved at some point. By involved, I mean calling out drivers and crew chiefs for on-track actions. Honeycutt was far too aggressive and he is going to get a talking to about it.

So, we have an issue here at the end of the race. While we want to see these drivers get aggressive and race hard, you can’t get overly aggressive there. When it is all said and done, NASCAR will have laid down a new line in the sand for the Truck Series.

There has been good racing in this series since Daytona. To start the season, things were ugly. After that first race, the product cleaned up and improved drastically. Let’s hope we see improvement moving forward after this as well.
