NASCAR officially unveiled the logo for the 2025 Daytona 500 Monday, a logo which carries a “whole new meaning.”

The 2025 Daytona 500 logo represents a shift from the template used from 2021-24, which spelled out Daytona 500 in the middle of an outline of the 2.5-mile tri-oval. Instead, the 2025 logo features the Harley J. Earl Trophy, awarded to the winner of the Daytona 500, as the main art with the words Daytona 500 and 2025 over it.

The 67th running of the Daytona 500 is scheduled for Feb. 16, 2025.

“The DAYTONA 500 is not only NASCAR’s biggest race of the year, but also one of the most famous motorsports races in the world,” Daytona International Speedway President Frank Kelleher said in a statement. “By featuring the symbol of becoming a DAYTONA 500 champion, the Harley J. Earl Trophy, in the logo for the 67th running of The Great American Race, we blend the greatness of the race with the history of the sport.”

The Harley J. Earl Trophy, which pays homage to the renowned automotive designer and second NASCAR commissioner, was first handed out to the winner of the 1998 Daytona 500, the late Dale Earnhardt.

William Byron was the recipient of the Harley J. Earl Trophy this year, his first career Daytona 500 victory. The win was a record-tying ninth for Hendrick Motorsports in the Daytona 500 and the race team’s first since 2014 when Dale Earnhardt Jr. raced his way to victory lane in the No. 88 Chevrolet.

“I’m just a kid from racing on computers and winning the Daytona 500,” Byron said. “I can’t believe it. I wish my dad was here. He’s sick, but this is for him, man. We’ve been through so much, and we sat up in the grandstands together and watched the race. This is so freaking cool.”
