On March 29, No. 2 seed Marquette and No. 11 seed NC State will square off in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. It’s Marquette’s first appearance in the tournament’s second weekend since 2013. The Wolfpack last reach the Sweet Sixteen in the 2014-15 season under head coach Mark Gottfried.

NC State has earned its spot. Since ending the regular season on a four-game losing streak, the Wolfpack have won seven games in a row, most recently defeating a pesky Oakland team that downed No. 3 seed Kentucky earlier this week.

NC State isn’t the only team fighting for respect. After Marquette lost All-American point guard Tyler Kolek to injury for over three weeks, fans around the country began to question the team’s postseason potential. With Kolek back at their side, the Golden Eagles are cruising through the Big Dance.
