The Cowboys and Seahawks played a thriller of a game last week. Some shoving and jawing between Seattle’s Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams against Dallas tight end Jake Ferguson upped the drama.

But on Saturday, the NFL deemed the behavior of all three players as unsportsmanlike conduct. The league hit Adams and Diggs each with fines of $10,927. The league fined Ferguson $5,812.

The altercation happened late in the third quarter. The Seahawks were ahead 28-20, but Dak Prescott and the Cowboys were driving. The Seattle secondary, which was focused on stopping CeeDee Lamb, was having a difficult time defending Ferguson. The second-year Cowboys tight end caught six passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. Prescott threw Ferguson’s way eight times.

On a second-and-13 from the Seahawks 20, Prescott dumped the ball to Ferguson, who bulled his way for 14 yards. After the tackle, Diggs stood over Ferguson and talked about the big hit he dealt. Ferguson hopped up, then gave the first down signal as he walked into Diggs, pushing him backwards. Adams followed Ferguson, pointing his finger at him. Then the two locked facemasks, with Adams giving the tight end a slap. Ferguson gave another first-down signal. Then it was time for the next play. Running back Tony Pollard scored on the next play to trim the score to 28-27. The Cowboys eventually won the game, 41-35.

Ferguson could be big factor in Cowboys-Eagles game

The Cowboys-Eagles game Sunday night should be the most talked about game of week 14. After all, the Eagles are trying to maintain the top seed in the NFC for the playoffs. The Cowboys need some help for the top seed. They’re a game behind the Eagles in the NFC East, but Philly owns the tie breaker thanks to its win earlier in the season over the Cowboys.

There’s a good chance Ferguson will be a big part of the offensive game plan. You saw what he did against the Seahawks. But statistically, his best game of the season was against the Eagles. That’s when he caught seven passes for 91 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks are 6-6. They’re currently the ninth best team in terms of playoff seeding.

NFL issued 22 fines for week 13 discipline
