Running back Bijan Robinson didn’t see much action in Atlanta’s 16-13 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday. The rookie battled a “serious headache,” which seriously hindered his time on the field for the Falcons in Week 7.

The good news? Robinson’s illness isn’t something that will keep him sidelined very long. NFL Network‘s Ian Rapoport reported that the running back is not expected to miss time with the illness.

Robinson finished Sunday’s game with one carry for three yards in limited action. Despite his absence, the Falcons found a way to get the win.

Tyler Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson rushed for 59 and 56 yards, respectively. Quarterback Desmond Ridder added 38 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He also completed 19-of-25 passes for 250 yards.

With the game tied 13-13 in the final seconds, Younghoe Koo drilled a 51-yard field goal to lift the Falcons to the 16-13 victory over the Buccaneers. He finished the game converting on all three of his attempts in the game.

Bijan Robinson comments on illness after game

After the game, Robinson was asked about his limited time on the field. He said he began having issues Saturday night.

“It (started) last night, I was feeling weird,” Robinson said. “I woke up, just completely out of it. I tried to take medicine so I could be good for the game. But my head was hurting. Bad. I don’t know what was going on. I tried to go in pregame, but then coach (Arthur) Smith said, ‘We’ll be all right. Let’s get you right.’”

Robinson wanted to try and push through the pain and give the Falcons the best shot to win. But after having multiple conversations, he said it probably would not have been the smartest move.

“I don’t care what I’m going through, I’m going to push through,” Robinson said. “But at the same time, I know it’s a long season. I know that Coach Smith has the best interest at heart for me. Knowing when he has a plan and we have a plan, I’m going to go with it and not bother with it. I’ll be good next week.”

Robinson has rushed for 404 yards on 81 carries this season. He’s still searching for his first rushing touchdown in the NFL, although he has caught a pair of touchdown passes.

Atlanta improved to 4-3 on the year with the win over Tampa Bay. The Falcons travel to Nashville next weekend for a 1 p.m. ET showdown against the Titans. Coverage airs on CBS.
