Even after a big hit in Turn 1, Noah Gragson is going to get a chance to race in the main event. Gragson won the All-Star Race fan vote. The NASCAR rookie is the Mayor of North Wilkesboro now. He has a chance at the $1,000,000 grand prize. Not too bad after the Open Race he had.

After Josh Berry and Ty Gibbs crossed the finish line to earn the two spots in the All-Star Race, Noah Gragson had to wait for a second. That was until Michael Waltrip called down to his car on the radio and told him the good news. Gragson made it in on the fan vote.

Really, Gragson was the only driver advocating for the fan vote. At least, he was doing a better job than most at firing up the fans. It all paid off and it might pay off more if he can get his car repaired and ready to roll for tonight.

Now Noah Gragson’s team just has to get that No. 42 car right before the main event. He did wreck it a bit. It’d be a shame to race with a car that isn’t ready for the challenge. Those garage team members are going to work hard on that car. NASCAR will supervise but will let them make whatever changes they need to make to be competitive in the All-Star Race.

As long as LEGACY Motor Club can get the work done on that Chevy Camaro they should be just fine when the green flag drops.

Noah Gragson gets in trouble during All-Star Open

The good news is that the rookie got the fan vote. Because if he didn’t, Noah Gragson was going to end up going home after the All-Star Open. The only way into the finale was to finish in the top-2 or earn the approval of the fans. Well, he’s in the show, let’s see what he can do with the opportunity.

What I really love is the fact that Gragson and Ty Gibbs both made the big race. We need those two racing against one another as much as possible. The best part is that they will start next to one another in the back of the field. That means we could get some drama early on between the two “best friends”.

It is the All-Star Race. NASCAR’s very own Field of Dreams at North Wilkesboro. The Truck Series gave us a great race. So, let’s hope we get something fun to watch tonight.

As Noah Gragson starts his first All-Star Race, he will have to really drive that Chevy to get up toward the front. Nothing comes easy on this old pavement. Getting through the back of the field without damaging his car more will be key.
