Odell Beckham Jr. addresses Ravens fanbase for first time since signing
Odell Beckham Jr. is a Baltimore Raven, and he wants the entire fanbase to know he’s ready to put in the work for their city.
After being sidelined for an entire season recovering from a torn ACL, the former Super Bowl-winning wideout, Beckham Jr. signed a one-year deal worth up to $18 million with the team. With three Pro Bowl appearances and five 1,000-yard seasons under his belt, the Ravens are hoping Beckham Jr. can provide an instant impact on the team.
He kept his opening statement short and sweet after touching down in Baltimore: “Flock Nation, what’s going on? OBJ here, we ready to get to work!”

The deal between Beckham Jr. and the Ravens was announced on Easter Sunday, setting the NFL world on fire and ending all speculation of where the former free agent would go after missing the entire 2022-23 season.
While the deal was reported as one-year worth up to $18 million, $15 million is wrapped up in the signing bonus and base salary. The remaining $3 million is incentive-based and has a base salary of $1.165 million.
Beckham Jr. tore his ACL in the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Before that, the receiver was a key part of the Rams’ playoff run that postseason, racking up 21 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns before getting hurt. Prior to that, he posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in 2018 and 2019.
Since joining the NFL out of LSU in 2014, Beckham has hauled in 531 catches for 7,367 yards and 56 touchdowns in 96 games spanning three organizations. He was drafted by the New York Giants and made one of the most spectacular catches in NFL history while there. The Giants traded him to the Cleveland Browns before the two sides settled on his release. He would sign with the Rams mid-season and help lead the time to his first Super Bowl win.
Beckham should step in immediately as a top option for a Ravens receiving corps that lacked options in 2022. Tight end Mark Andrews led the team with 847 yards and five touchdowns, but other than that, no WR or TE on the team surpassed 500 yards.
