Apparently, AJ Hawk can hoop a little bit. The Green Bay Packers legend and former NFL star showed off his sharpshooting skills at the American Century Celebrity Championship over the weekend.

Hawk was tossed a basketball while walking between shots at Edgewood Tahoe South Golf Course during the tournament. All he needed was one dribble, launched his shot and found the bottom of the well.

That shot was as silky smooth as Steph Curry from distance. Who knew Hawk had those kinds of skills?

He made it look so easy. Maybe Hawk should challenge Curry to a three-point shootout sometime.

Hawk was one of over 90 celebrities who participated in the weekend charity event in Lake Tahoe. He finished in a tie for 46th in the event with 13 points, along with Joe Theismann and Seth Curry.

On the subject of Steph Curry …

While AJ Hawk was draining long shots on a basketball hoop, Curry was draining long putts to win the American Century Championship.

On Sunday, Curry sunk a 30-foot eagle putt on the 18th hole to claim the top spot in the event. It was an impressive way to close out the tournament for the NBA superstar.

Curry has hit plenty of clutch shots on the basketball court over the course of his career. Seeing him do it on the golf course? Equally as impressive.

While that was the winning shot for the Golden State Warriors star, Curry had another impressive moment on the course. Earlier in the tournament, he carded a hole-in-one on the par-3 seventh.

Some guys get all the luck. Or maybe they have actual talent.

Curry won this year’s charity event by scoring 75 points. He defeated tennis player Mardy Fish by two points, with the eagle putt on the 18th securing the victory.

But his win didn’t come without a controversial ending. On the final hole, an idiot in attendance yelled in the middle of Fish’s backswing, causing the tennis player to shank his drive. It was a horrible finish to an incredibly fun and entertaining event.

Even Curry seemed to be embarrassed by the unruly fan.

Curry played a great tournament and hit plenty of big shots throughout the event. He certainly deserved to win. But it was still an unfortunate way to see the American Century Championship end.

Hopefully this individual doesn’t make his way back to a golf tournament anytime in the near future.
