Packers release Wednesday injury report vs Buffalo Bills
The Green Bay Packers have released its initial injury report for its Week 8 matchup against the Buffalo Bills – and Aaron Rodgers did not practice.
The two-time reigning NFL MVP started against the Washington Commanders last Sunday, and went 23-of-35 for 194 yards and two touchdowns. Despite Rodgers’ services, Green Bay dropped its third-straight game ahead of this week.
Rodgers is expected to go through the same routine as last week – miss Wednesday, practice Thursday and Friday and play on Sunday, barring any unforeseen setbacks.

The depleted wide receiving corps are another concern for the Packers moving forward. Sammy Watkins and Christian Watson were limited Wednesday, while Allen Lazard didn’t participate. Add in veteran Randall Cobb – who’s entering his second week on injured reserved – to the list, and arguably four of the Packers’ best wide receivers could miss Sunday’s matchup against the Bills.

Chicago Bears trading Robert Quinn to Philadelphia Eagles
The Chicago Bears have decided that they are trading star pass rusher Robert Quinn to the Philadelphia Eagles, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The Eagles are only sending a fourth-round pick to Chicago in exchange for Quinn, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The news broke on Wednesday afternoon. It’s a strong message by the Philadelphia Eagles that they are loading up on pieces to make a potential run at the Super Bowl this season. Quinn has shown in years past that when he’s at his best, he’s among the best pass rushers of all-time.
He’s enjoyed a prolific career in the National Football League and has firmly cemented his legacy as one of the best pass rushers in league history. The key question is will he be able to deliver the goods for the Eagles when they need it the most, during the playoffs this season?
His production has been very quiet this season and Quinn only has one sack thus far in 2022. But it’s a low-risk, high upside move by the Philadelphia Eagles and he is one of the best pass rushers the game has ever seen. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Bears will be picking up most of the remaining salary for Quinn. The trade will cost the Eagles’ a small amount of draft capital, but not very much money.
As recently as 2021, Quinn was devastatingly dominant, racking up 18.5 sacks. He’s racked up 102 sacks during his highly decorated career thus far, tying him with future Hall-of-Famer Aaron Donald. That number of sacks currently places him 55th all-time in NFL history. It’ll be interesting to see if he can return to his elite form, because if he can, he’ll be yet another weapon in the Eagles’ arsenal as they pursue a Super Bowl.
