New snaps of New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers working out took the internet by storm over the weekend but one NFL defender was not impressed. Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward heckled the 39-year-old on Twitter for the amount of weight he was lifting.

Heyward responded to a photo of Rodgers from ProActive Sports Performance with a gif of Ryan Gosling laughing, adding: “Bruh got 10 pounds in each hand”

Although ProActive Sports Performance’s focus is on keeping athletes healthy, Heyward still wasn’t impressed with Rodgers only holding 10 pounds in each hand for his Bulgarian split squats.

Heyward, entering his 13th season in the league this year, is a former first-round draft pick, who, like Rodgers, has found longevity in a career that is known to be short-lived.

The two veterans won’t face off during the regular season but the Steelers could find themselves matched up against the Jets in the playoffs – if both teams can get there.

Rodgers, Jets facing possibility of being on ‘Hard Knocks’

The New York Jets begin training camp on July 22 and the deadline to decide which team will be on Hard Knocks is fast approaching. The Jets are one of the most obvious choices given their addition of Rodgers in the offseason, however, the franchise has pushed back in the hopes that the show will settle on another team.

Teams that have made the playoffs for two seasons don’t have to participate. Also, teams with a new head coach or teams that have been on the show in the past 10 years are in the clear. Along with the Jets, the Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints and Washington Commanders are the other teams who meet Hard Knocks‘ requirements.

New York’s current situation would unquestionably make for the most entertaining television and, thus, draw the most eyeballs.

In addition to adding the four-time MVP quarterback, the Jets also boast last year’s Offensive Rookie of the Year in receiver Garrett Wilson and Defensive Rookie of the Year in cornerback Sauce Gardner. They also have running back Breece Hall, who is making his way back from a torn ACL. That group has many predicting that not only will the Jets end their playoff drought, but also potentially compete for a Super Bowl.

Besides Rodgers, several other former Packers are now with the Jets. The Jets added receivers Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb, safety Adrian Amos and offensive tackle Billy Turner, among others.
