Another arrest has been made in the shooting of Washington Commanders running back and former Alabama star Brian Robinson Jr. A 14-year-old boy was arrested Friday, according to agent Ryan Williams.

Williams, an agent with Robinson’s agency, Athletes First, shared the news via Twitter. Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post confirmed the news, citing Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police. The arrest comes just two days after another juvenile was arrested in connection with the incident.

“We greatly appreciate the diligent work of the detectives and MPD,” Williams tweeted. “Brian is grateful for all of the support and looks forward to great things ahead with the @Commanders.”

Robinson was involved in an attempted carjacking and burglary in August, resulting in gunshot wounds to the glute and lower leg. He recovered well, though, and made his NFL debut in Week 5 during the Commanders’ game against the Tennessee Titans. He then punched in his first NFL touchdown against the Chicago Bears on Thursday night football.

Washington drafted Robinson in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft after a standout career at Alabama. Last year, he had 1,343 yards and 14 touchdowns for the Crimson Tide en route to a national championship game appearance.

DC Metro Police announce arrest of juvenile involved in shooting of Brian Robinson

D.C. police announced the arrest of another juvenile suspect earlier this week in a press release. The suspect is facing a charge of assault with the intent to rob, according to the announcement.

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault With Intent to Rob while Armed (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, August 28, 2022, in the 1000 block of H Street, Northeast,” the release said.

“At approximately 5:28 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and attempted to rob the victim. During the robbery attempt, one of the suspects fired a handgun, striking the victim. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle without obtaining any property. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 17-year-old juvenile male ( who was 16 at the time of the offense), of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Rob while Armed (Gun).
