Jordan Davis was carted out during the second quarter of the Philadelphia Eagle’s win today over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now, reports suggest that it may cost the rookie nose tackle a solid chunk of his first season.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network says the belief within the franchise is that Davis suffered a high ankle sprain during the 35-13 win over Pittsburgh. With an MRI still to come, it looks like Davis will be out for around four to six weeks.

The 13th overall pick from the 2022 NFL Draft has had a solid start to his career in Philly. Davis has totaled 14 tackles and a pass deflection in seven games. His production has been key on a weaker defensive line for the Eagles and could be a major loss for the team if tests confirm their suspicions.

The undefeated Eagles will hope for the best when it comes to Davis as they head into next week. However, the initial outlook doesn’t look great for the impactful product out of Georgia as they head into Week 9.

WATCH: Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown connect for three touchdowns in the first half vs Steelers

When it rains, it pours. Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown have given the Eagles a first half to remember.

The AlabamaOle Miss connection struck three times for Philadelphia in the first half against the Steelers Sunday. The two former SEC standouts have connected five times for 113 yards with under four minutes remaining in the first half.

After the play, Brown pointed to the Steelers defensive backs that he snagged the touchdown over, which was deemed unsportsmanlike (or hilarious, you decide) and the Eagles were penalized on the ensuing kickoff.
