WWE is recruiting Jason Kelce after he competed in WrestleMania 40. According to the Daily Mail, the professional wrestling promotion is looking to bring back the retired NFL offensive lineman for future events alongside his brother Travis Kelce. However, the Daily Mail says the Kelce brothers are not interested in competing in WWE.

“The WWE loved having Jason and Lane be a part of WrestleMania,” a source told the Daily Mail. “The WWE is always at the cusp of what is hot in entertainment and pop culture and to have a Philly legend like Jason at their fingertips to be a part of the show was a no-brainer.

“He is welcomed back any time he would like to come back and if he wanted to start wrestling, they would consider training him for that opportunity. But everyone including Jason knows that will likely never happen and this one-off was a really fun opportunity.”

Jason Kelce and his former Philadelphia Eagles teammate Lane Johnson came into the ring and helped Rey Mysterio and Andrade beat Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar in a tag team match. WrestleMania 40 took place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Saturday and Sunday.

The Miz wants to train Jason Kelce

Last month, WWE Superstar The Miz talked about training Kelce if he decides to join WWE. “Hell Yeah! [I would be willing to train Jason Kelce] Are you kidding me? Train him into a superstar. I mean, as big of a superstar he is in the NFL, we’ll make him as big as a superstar in WWE,” The Miz told TMZ, (per Yahoo).

“He could be very dangerous in a WWE ring. Not only with just the athleticism and the part of the wrestling, which I think he could absolutely do. I watched him jump up at a Bills game, from like down and jump up into a window, and I was like ‘Oh my god! This guy is like 300 pounds! How did he do that, that’s incredible!’. Let alone the charisma, as we were talking about. The ability to talk on the microphone and be captivating and innovative is something I just think he has a knack for.”

Kelce, 36, announced his retirement from the NFL in March after spending 13 seasons with the Eagles. During his time in Philadelphia, Kelce was selected to the Pro Bowl seven times, named to the All-Pro Team six times and helped the Eagles win the Super Bowl in 2017.
