Robert Kraft says Taylor Swift should've dated Rob Gronkowski instead of Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift took the NFL by storm in 2023, drawing massive interest as she began to date Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce. However, one NFL owner thinks she decided to be with the wrong tight end.
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft recently shared that he thinks Taylor Swift would have paired better with former New England tight end, Rob Gronkowski.
“Her first stadium concert was on my birthday in 2010, June 5. We convinced her and her family that she could sell out a stadium,” Kraft said. “So when she came to view the Chiefs play the Patriots this year at Gillette, I gave her a framed ticket from that concert, June 5, 2010. Think about it, she was like 18-19 and she’s done pretty well since then.”
As Kraft pointed out, Swift has a long-running relationship with the Patriots, specifically through the concerts that she often has had at Gillette Stadium. That’s also when he decided to have some fun, saying that she should have dated his tight end instead of Kelce.
“Except maybe she should have been dating Gronk,” Kraft joked. “He’s better looking!”
Ultimately, as long as Swift and Kelce are happy, it’s hard to say that either should date someone else. Besides, Gronkowski has been in his own relationship with Camille Kostek, known for her work as a model, since 2015. So, it’s been a while since Gronkowski was on the market to begin with.
All in all, it’s just Kraft having some fun with a figure who has become an icon during her career and, recently, also became one of the most popular football fans in the world.
Kansas City and New England won’t be playing each other in 2024. So, it’s going to be a while before Kelce is going to get the chance to see Kraft and share if he had any issue with the joke.

The relationship between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift has been massive. It’s so big, in fact, that as his brother Jason Kelce recently revealed, he needed to move after their relationship went public.
