Arizona has seen several retirements take place across their roster this offseason. Now, it appears another will be joining that group as veteran center Rodney Hudson is reportedly going to turn the page.

Per Jeremy Fowler at ESPN, the team is expecting Hudson to hang it up. After two years and just 16 games total with the Cardinals, it appears he is ready to move on to the next chapter of his life.

This decision would end what has been a 12-year career in pro football for the 33-year old Hudson. He started in Kansas City after going 55th overall in the 2011 NFL Draft and then spent the next six seasons between Oakland and Las Vegas with the Raiders.

He joined Arizona after that in 2021 and went on to consider retirement last offseason. Hudson elected not to, though, but a knee injury this season held him to just four games in 2022 and likely made the choice easier this time around.

In college, Hudson played four seasons for Florida State. He played 53 career games for the Seminoles including 48 straight starts and was named a Consensus All-American in 2010.

Hudson will now be the latest hole that the Cardinals will have to fill for new head coach Jonathan Gannon. With Billy Price set to be a free agent, that will make Hudson’s void even more difficult to fill.
