Although the Dallas Cowboys lost to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night, at least one Cowboys fan left Levi’s Stadium overjoyed. Following the final whistle in the 42-10 win for San Francisco, a 49ers fan decided to get down on one knee to pop the question to his girlfriend, who, coincidentally, wore a Dak Prescott jersey.

The Cowboys fan apparently said yes to the marriage proposal as the cameras captured the couple embracing and putting on the engagement ring. The timing of the proposal will certainly provide the happy couple with a funny story to tell for years to come.

Unfortunately for Dallas fans, the night will be hard to forget.

Cowboys ‘punched in the mouth’

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had few answers for the lopsided performance his team gave in primetime.

“Didn’t see it coming,” Prescott said post-game. “Put everything into this and got punched in the mouth. Only a couple weeks ago, it was humbling against Arizona, but this may be the most humbling game I’ve ever been a part of.”

With his team down multiple scores, Prescott only added to the embarrassing display with three interceptions as he attempted to pass his way to getting the Cowboys back into the game. Penalties and big plays by the 49ers were Dallas’ ultimate undoing.

Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb‘s emotions were on full display as the former Sooner struggled to describe the Cowboys’ offensive identity through five games this season.

“We gotta be complete,” Lamb said. “We can’t go out there one week and look like a super team and then the next week s**t the bed.”

Up next for Dallas is a road game against the L.A. Chargers where former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is now scheming up plays for Justin Herbert.

“We gotta go out there and we gotta finish it out,” Lamb said. “We have 12 other games to compete in… got blown out tonight.”

“A very humbling loss, clearly, and that’s stating the obvious,” head coach Mike McCarthy said post-game. “I think the biggest thing is that I just had a reflection on the five games we’ve played, and it’s been a wide range of performance — as wide of a range as I can recall in a five-week period. The biggest thing is for us to be accountable.”
