San Francisco 49ers starting left tackle Trent Williams will play in Sunday’s NFC Championship against the Los Angeles Rams. Williams confirmed to reporter Josina Anderson that he is “all good” ahead of the big matchup.

The veteran offensive tackle suffered an ankle injury in the third quarter of last week’s divisional round win against the Packers. Williams was seen limping after the game. Immediately, San Francisco faithful wondered if the star tackle would be available for the NFC Championship Game.

Trent Williams did not practice this week, but told reporters that he was “adamant” on playing in the NFC Championship.

The 49ers have surprised many this postseason, winning road games against both Green Bay and Dallas to reach the NFC Championship. Now they face an NFC West division rival for a trip to the Super Bowl.

Williams spent the first nine years of his NFL career with Washington, the team that took him fourth overall in 2010. He joined the 49ers via trade during the 2020 season. He has appeared in nine Pro Bowls throughout is 11-year career.

San Francisco has twice faced off against the Los Angeles Rams this season, coming out the victory both times. That includes a narrow 27-24 road victory to close the season in which Williams and the offensive line paved the way for more than 400 yards.

The 49ers trailed most of the game last week against the Packers before coming up with a couple of crucial defensive plays late. San Francisco blocked and punt and returned it for a touchdown to tie the game at 10 with 4:41 to go. They later kicked a game-winning field goal to pull out a 13-10, earning their first lead as time expired.

Kickoff between San Francisco and the Rams is set for 6:30 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
