Seattle Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf might have a future in the world of media when his playing days are over. He had no trouble listing off the three wide receivers he believes are currently the best in the NFL.

During the Gatorade Player of the Year Awards, Metcalf was asked who he thought fit the description of the top three receivers in the league. He provided an interesting answer.

Justin JeffersonDavante Adams and A.J. Brown,” Metcalf told Taylor Bisciotti of NFL Network.

Those are three pretty strong selections from Metcalf. All three stars earned a trip to the Pro Bowl after putting up fantastic numbers during the 2022 campaign.

Jefferson was named the NFL’s 2022 Offensive Player of the Year. The superstar receiver for the Vikings piled up 1,809 yards and eight touchdowns on 128 catches.

Brown, in his first year with the Philadelphia Eagles, enjoyed the most productive season of his career. He caught 88 passes for 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Adams was also in a new uniform in 2022, going from the Green Bay Packers to the Las Vegas Raiders. But the change in scenery didn’t hinder his success on the field the slightest. The six-time Pro Bowler racked up 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns on 100 receptions.

As for Metcalf? He might actually qualify for the conversation, as well. The Seattle star totaled 90 catches for 1,048 yards and six touchdowns for the Seahawks during the 2022 campaign. Despite the big totals, he was not a Pro Bowl selection.

When Bisciotti added, “and yourself, of course,” Metcalf agreed.

“Oh, yeah, yeah. I’ll add myself in there,” he said.

We learned a lot about DK Metcalf

Bisciotti attempted to give fans a better knowledge of Metcalf’s personal life by hitting him with some fast-paced questions. It worked. We learned quite a lot about the Seattle wide receiver.

Apparently, he’s a big fan of country music or rap to get himself hyped up on gamedays. And when it comes to hydration, he’s reaching for a Cool Blue Gatorade. If he could create his own flavor?

“Strawberry, mango (and) blueberry,” he said. We’ll definitely look to see if that hits the store shelves anytime soon.

Metcalf enters his fifth year in the NFL in 2023. He’s spent his entire career thus far in Seattle, hauling in 499 passes for 4,218 yards and 35 touchdowns. If he exceeds the 1,000-yard mark this fall, it’ll be the first time he’s hit the milestone in back-to-back seasons.
