During Wednesday’s edition of “Undisputed” on FS1, Skip Bayless said he took issue with Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons recently calling San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy a top-15 quarterback in the NFL.

Bayless claimed that Parsons broke an unwritten rule of raving about the quarterback of a rival team.

“Micah Parsons has a nemesis every year called the San Francisco 49ers,” Bayless said. “They have sent the Cowboys home two straight years. Last year obviously with Brock Purdy. I got no problem in a vacuum with what Micah said about Brock Purdy because he’s just dead-on right. It’s just obvious, this kid hasn’t lost a game yet. He hasn’t even played average yet, he’s played way above average… But, you play for the Cowboys whose quarterback is Dak Prescott, who is on a hot seat in Dallas right now.

“There’s an unwritten rule here, a locker room rule here, that you don’t rave about the quarterback of your arch-rival and nemesis. You just don’t do it. If I’m Dak Prescott, I don’t like it.”

Keyshawn Johnson, his “Undisputed” co-host who played 11 seasons in the NFL, seemed to have no idea what Bayless was talking about.

“Who wrote that rule?” Johnson asked.

Micah Parsons has high praise for Daniel Jones after Week 1 struggles

If Bayless didn’t like Parsons’ comments about Purdy, then he probably didn’t appreciate the praise he recently offered to New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. Following the Cowboys’ 40-0 Week 1 victory over the Giants Sunday, in which Jones completed 15-of-28 passes for 104 yards and two interceptions, Parsons went on record to say that Jones is a “really good player” who just ran into one of the top defenses in the league.

“Daniel Jones is not a bad quarterback,” Parsons said. “Some of you may think that he’s a bad quarterback and why’d they sign him? You have to remember, Daniel Jones just went against a top-3 defense. They’re still learning to gel together… It’s only his second year with [head coach] Brian Daboll. He gets grace. I think nowadays we don’t give the same grace as we [did] with guys like Peyton Manning when they came into the league.

“The reality is, he’s a really good player.”
