Stephen Curry has become a household name on the basketball court, but he’s also a great golfer. If you needed more proof, look no further than Saturday’s round of the American Century Championship.

Curry drained a hole-in-one on the seventh hole at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, becoming the first-ever player to do so on that hole. The reaction was priceless as he took off down the hill to go get the ball.

NBC’s cameras were live at the time and captured the entire scene.

This isn’t the first time Curry drained a hole-in-one, though. It’s his second, as a matter of fact. But he did it on the big stage on Saturday in an incredible moment. The reaction was legendary, too.

Curry is known as a sharpshooter and star for the Golden State Warriors. He’s also a very talented golfer, boasting a +1.3 handicap and serving as an Ambassador of Golf this year. He also led the American Century Championship after Friday with 27 points.

The American Century Championship is played in a modified Stableford format. That means a par counts as one point, a birdie is worth three points and an eagle is six points. It also means a double bogey or worse deducts two points. Curry’s ace is worth eight points.

That shopt helped Curry build a commanding lead over the rest of the field as he got up to 43 points. Tennis player Mardy Fish and Anaheim Ducks center Joe Pavelski both sat behind Curry with 34 points apiece through eight holes. Former MLB pitchers Mark Mulder and Derek Lowe are also in the top five, sitting tied for fourth place. Another former MLB player, Kevin Millar, was right behind them in sixth place.

Curry most recently played in The Match last month with teammate Klay Thompson. The two squared off against Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce at the Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas, and it was the Chiefs duo defeating the Splash Brothers 3-and-2. Of course, Mahomes took a victory lap afterward and gave a shoutout to his partner and teammate on Twitter.

“I mean y’all thought (Travis Kelce) wasn’t going to show up when the lights come on!!” Mahomes tweeted.

Mahomes and Kelce are also playing in the American Century Championship, but are struggling. He had -4 points through 10 holes on Saturday and Kelce was one point better at -3.
