Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Le’Veon Bell might get another chance at winning a Super Bowl this season. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Bell has cleared waivers and is once again a free agent.

Tampa Bay waived former Michigan State running back on Saturday. The move freed up a roster spot for running back Leonard Fournette. Fournette was returning to the active roster after being put on injured reserve following the Buccaneers Week 16 loss to the New Orleans Saints. That is also the exact time when Tampa Bay elected to bring Bell on, to help keep the running back position afloat while the former LSU running back was out.

Thanks to that move, Bell was not a part of their team when they lost, at home, to the Los Angeles Rams 30-27 on Sunday. Thus, allowing Bell the ability to sign with any one of the four playoff teams remaining. So with that said, let the speculation begin on where we might see the former Steelers all-pro play again.

Report: Brady and Tampa Bay bracing for retirement

Tom Brady has defied Father Time like no other quarterback before him. However, his Tamp Bay Buccaneers teammates are wondering if this season’s playoff run could be the Seven-time Super Bowl Champions’ swan song.

According to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, Brady’s teammates are bracing for his retirement.

“Brady has talked in the past about wanting to play up to age 50, though not quite as much recently,” wrote La Canfora. “At age 44 and chasing a second straight Lombardi Trophy, and with the Bucs facing a difficult task of keeping this team together in 2022, several of his teammates are prepared for this playoff run to be Brady’s last, sources said. Including some very close to the quarterback.”

Moreover, one of La Canfora’s sources believes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB doesn’t know what he’s going to do himself.

“He hasn’t signaled one way or the other what he’s going to do,” said one source close to Brady, according to La Canfora. “And maybe he doesn’t know himself. But it wouldn’t be surprising if this was the end.”

However, another source believes the sense in the locker room is that Sunday’s loss was Brady’s final run at a Super Bowl.
