Travis Kelce responds to Taylor Swift's viral beer chug during Super Bowl LVIII

Travis Kelce was quite proud to see Taylor Swift chug a beer during Super Bowl LVIII, which was caught on the stadium’s jumbotron.

Swift’s been a lot of games this year, but none bigger than the Super Bowl, the Chiefs’ second straight title and third in four years. Not only is she a big football fan, but the superstar certainly knows how to have a good time.

Kelce talked with brother Jason on their podcast, referencing the moment during the game.

“I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t know what was going on at first,” Kelce said on New Heights. “I was sitting behind them, and I saw them go for the drinks. And then I go, ‘Oh, this is happening. Chug, chug.’ She’s getting after it. Pretty cool. And this is on the Jumbotron. Nice. And then the slam down…She’s a pro.”

Swift’s beer chug was the most electric scene of the Super Bowl up to that point, with a defensive struggle taking place on the field. She arrived to Las Vegas on Saturday, fresh off performing four nights inside the Toyko Dome in Japan as part of The Eras Tour. 

Much had been made of whether she would be able to make it on time for the 3:30 p.m. local time kickoff, but you just knew there was no chance she would miss out on being in attendance for the biggest game of the season.

In the teaser clip of NFL Films’ Super Bowl footage, Kelce thanked Swift for traveling across the world to make it to the game following her shows in Tokyo, Japan last week. The 14-time Grammy Award-winning artist made it to Las Vegas in the nick of time with her crew of friends, which included Blake Lively and Ice Spice on Sunday night.

“I can’t believe you, I can’t believe you,” Swift says as Kelce asks if the game was “electric,” “How did you do that?”

Sure there are doubters of Kelce and Swift’s relationship, even to this point. But the power couple seem to be all in, short of a proposal at this point. 

The two partied after the Super Bowl, in what was hilarious fashion. The couple were dancing and singing together while Jason Kelce was caught off to the side going absolutely nuts in a Luchadore mask at the DJ table.

In any event, the rest and recovery for Travis Kelce will be immense after a long season. Perhaps he’ll chug a few beers with Swift when she’s not performing throughout the course of the offseason.
