Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens was struck by a car after an argument during a pickup basketball game, according to TMZ Sports.

The incident occurred Monday night in the Calabasas area and Owens and an unnamed individual got into an argument during the game. Following the pickup game, the individual in question reportedly got into his vehicle and drove into Owens, striking his knee.

According to the report, law enforcement said Owens did not require any medical attention. Officers said they took a report for assault with a deadly weapon.

However, no arrests were made and the investigation remains ongoing.

Owens is considered one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history and last played in the league in 2010 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He had a stint with the Seattle Seahawks during the 2012 preseason, but did not make the 53-man roster.

Owens was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018 but did not attend the official celebration in Canton (Ohio). He held his own celebration at McKenzie Arena at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, his alma mater.

Over the course of his career, Owens had 1,078 yards, 15,934 yards, 153 touchdowns and 14.8 yards per catch. He played with the San Francisco 49ers from 1996-2003, the Philadelphia Eagles from 2004-05, the Dallas Cowboys from 2006-08, the Buffalo Bills in 2009 and the Bengals in 2010.

Owens was selected by the 49ers out of Chattanooga in the third round (No. 89 overall) in the 1996 NFL Draft.

Terrell Owens, Stephen A. Smith have beef

Owens made other headlines when he came after Stephen A. Smith in September over social media. The ESPN host then threatened to “expose” Owens.

That dispute started when Smith went on The Joe Budden Podcast. There, he opened up about his relationship with former co-host Max Kellerman and explained why he thinks that things didn’t work out for him on First Take. For Smith, it came down to Kellerman’s background.

He’s an incredibly smart person but wasn’t an athlete or journalist, which Smith implied made listeners not trust him.

It was shortly after this that Owens quote tweeted an old video of him on First Takewriting, “FACTS!!!!!!!!!” In that video, Owens claimed that Kellerman was “blacker than” Smith, which seemed to upset him.

Smith responded, writing, “Now….as for this dude, that’s an entirely different story. You know how I feel about your sorry ass @terrellowens and you know why! You should thank your Heavenly Father I haven’t zeroed in on you with the trifling s— you tried to pull. Tell folks to ask ESPN what your desperate ass tried to pull. Keep on talking. Eventually, you’ll expose yourself! #REALFACTS.”
