Former Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Terrion Arnold is expecting to not have to wait too long during the 2024 NFL Draft to hear his name.

After showing he’s a top talent during his time with the Crimson Tide, Arnold is making the leap to the NFL. As he readies for Thursday’s life-changing event, Arnold joined The Paul Finebaum Show, where he provided some insight into how he’s been preparing for the NFL Draft.

“I went to Tampa to train at House of Athletes with Yo Murphy after the combine and after pro day before I had to go on my visits and stuff. I’ve just been working out, so I went back to Tallahassee and workinig out with my uncle, running track, DB drills, positional work and just now I can finally focus on the good stuff,” Arnold told Finebaum. “Like the combine, it was good and all but sometimes it doesn’t measure how great of a football player you are.

“You have athletes who run fast, jump high but then when you put on the tape you don’t see any of it. So, I can finally practice what I’m known and what I’m gonna do at the next level.”

Even though Arnold knows he’s likely going to be a first-round selection, he’s not taking anything for granted. The former Alabama star is continuing to put the work in each and every day on the journey.

That’s what’ll make him so enticing to teams in the NFL, and that work ethic is expected to continue as Terrion Arnold moves forward to the professional level.

Terrion Arnold expecting the unexpected with his draft stock

Continuing, Terrion Arnold is going to be ready for anything and everything when the 2024 NFL Draft takes place next week. Later while appearing on The Paul Finebaum Show this week, the former Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback talked about his draft stock as the big day gets closer.

“I’m hearing to expect the unexpected,” Arnold said. “The draft is kind of like a chess match. A lot of teams aren’t going to show their hand or show their move until it’s time to make those necessary moves. So there’ll be teams that trade up, teams that trade back, players that go earlier than expected, players that go later than expected. So hopefully I’m one of those guys that goes earlier than expected.”

Arnold is expected to go fairly high in the draft. In Mel Kiper’s latest mock draft. He has the 21-year-old being selected by the Indianapolis Colts at No. 15 overall.

“He had five interceptions last season as he developed into the Crimson Tide’s top defensive back,” Kiper wrote in his mock draft. “He played a ton of press coverage in college, so he understands angles and knows how to knock receivers off their routes. He would have a chance to be Indianapolis’ top CB as a rookie.”
