Week 9 in the NFL kicks off on Thursday, with the Tennessee Titans (3-4) taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3). With both teams hovering around the .500 mark, a win is of the utmost importance for both teams.

The Steelers do have some positive news heading into the game, with quarterback Kenny Pickett cleared to play. The second-year starter suffered a rib injury in last week’s 20-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

On the other side, the Titans earned a 28-23 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Will Levis’ first start. He completed 19-of-29 passes for 238 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Prior to kickoff for Thursday Night Football, the two teams released their lists of inactives for the showdown. Below are the names of the guys who won’t be suiting up for the contest.

Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET with the game airing on Amazon Prime Video.

Steelers OC Matt Canada moving from press box to sideline

Head coach Mike Tomlin plans to switch things up on Thursday night. Offensive coordinator, typically calling the game from the press box, will instead be on the sideline this week.

“A tweak in the play-calling process for the #Steelers tonight: Offensive coordinator Matt Canada will be on the sideline, sources say,” NFL reporter Mike Garafolo shared. “He usually calls games from upstairs. Will now be in close proximity to Mike Tomlin and the players as he calls plays vs. the #Titans.”

Pittsburgh’s offense has been lagging for the past two seasons, prompting many to call for Canada’s job. Right now, Tomlin doesn’t appear to have any plans to move on and find a new OC.

We’ll see if Canada’s transition from the press box to the sidelines helps in any way, or if Pittsburgh continues to struggle on that side of the football.
