Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan had to be carted off the field following a scary injury after he attempted to help push the pile forward on a running play. After attempting to push defenders forward, Lewan fell forward onto the play and laid motionless on the field for a short time before being helped off.

Taylor Lewan carted off after injury

After being surrounded by teammates and medical staff, Lewan was carted off the field after being placed on a stretcher. While being carted off, Lewan was able to give a thumbs up to all fans watching, a relief given the apparent severity on the field.

“I’m being told he’s moving fine,” ESPN’s Lisa Salters confirmed on the Monday Night Football broadcast shortly after Lewan was taken from the field.

The three-time Pro Bowler would be evaluated for a concussion.

Lewan was drafted by the Titans in 2014 and has been a key factor in the Titans running game led by Derrick Henry.

Titans Caleb Farley carted off as well

Tennessee Titans first-round pick Caleb Farley was carted off the field to the locker room with a knee injury and has already been ruled out for the remainder of Monday night’s matchup vs. the Buffalo Bills.

Farley sat out his final season at Virginia Tech due to COVID-19 concerns but was widely considered one of the top cornerbacks of the 2021 NFL Draft Class.

The Tennessee Titans selected Caleb Farley with the 22nd overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-2 inch, 197-pound defender only began playing cornerback as a redshirt freshman at Virginia Tech after switching from wide receiver. He took to his new position quickly, intercepting six passes in 24 games with the Hokies.

In 2019, Farley’s final season at Virginia Tech, he was named first-team All-ACC after he led the conference with 16 passes defensed. His four interceptions tied for second place in the conference.

Farley has missed three of the Tennessee Titans first five games due to a lingering shoulder injury. Monday’s injury didn’t look great and would obviously be a major blow to the Titans and Farley if he is forced to miss extended time.
