Once again, NASCAR heads to Bristol Motor Speedway for an elimination race in the Round of 16, and a lot is on the line. Not only that, it is the Bass Pro Shops Night Race! That means special paint schemes that we won’t see anywhere else.

In fact, this week, we are going beyond the top-5 paint schemes. There were too many good ones. We have to go above and beyond to capture all of the greatness that we are going to see under the lights at The Last Great Colosseum.

A lot of hype around Bristol this week in NASCAR. The return of the Food City 500 in the spring is going to do away with the Dirt Race and return this track to where it belongs on the schedule.

Let’s get into these great looks.

Top-5 NASCAR schemes at Bristol, plus two

Chase Elliott – NAPA Gold Filters Chevy
While I generally don’t like Chase Elliott’s schemes, his Night Race looks are some of the best. This week at Bristol, the NASCAR champ isn’t rocking Hooters. He’s got the Gold Filters scheme and it’s awesome. 9/10.

Bubba Wallace – Columbia Sportswear Toyota
Back with another Omni-Heat-inspired look, Bubba Wallace hits the track in this Columbia scheme this week. Bristol’s lights are going to make this car look great on track. Another moon reference for Wallace. 7.5/10 (I liked last week’s look better).

William Byron – Relay Payments Chevy
A new sponsor for William Byron that we knew about ahead of time. That doesn’t take away from how much I like this night scheme. The green pops, a nice swipe of grey to break up the empty space. But does he have a big hat to match? 8/10.

Justin Haley – Food City/MTN Dew Chevy
MTN Dew is back in NASCAR! Sort of. A little collaboration with Food City and MTN Dew brings the soda back to NASCAR for the first time in a few years. Maybe this means Pepsi will invest in the sport again? 9.5/10.

Erik Jones – U.S. Air Force Chevy
I really like this look from Erik Jones and I think it will be awesome in this night race. LEGACY M.C. has some of the most underrated looks. NASCAR at Bristol under the lights, the Air Force car might just soar. 8/10.

Tyler Reddick – Jordan Brand/J. Balvin Toyota
A funky-looking car, a scheme that a lot of young fans are going to love. I appreciate all of the Jordan Brand schemes. Was hoping for a more retro shoe-inspired look. However, the J. Bavin shoe collab is nice. 8.5/10, this will look awesome under the lights.
